The Cotswolds is one of our favourite dog friendly destinations. With an area that runs through five counties there are so many beautiful honey-coloured villages and lively market towns to experience along with endless countryside to explore with your canine companion.
The Cotswolds is renowned for being dog friendly, with a wide array of hotels and B&B's to choice from. We have compiled our Top Ten luxuriously chic places for you to stay with your dog. They are all stylishly designed and will give you and your four legged companion a warm welcome. Why not treat yourselves to a weekend getaway......
NO.38 THE PARK
WHY WE LOVE IT.....
No.38 The Park is an elegant Georgian townhouse overlooking gardens in a upscale & leafy area of Cheltenham. This upscale B&B is the perfect combination of luxury contemporary design blended seamlessly with feel of a intimate B&B. Each of the 13 bespoke bedroom interiors are dog friendly. There is generous breakfast spread and a well stocked honesty bar, No.38 is the perfect choice for a weekend getaway with your dog.

There is an additional charge of £10 per dog per night. The hotel serves breakfast only and while dogs are allowed throughout the hotel, the breakfast area is the one locale out of bounds, so why not let them have an extra snooze in bed whilst you indulge in the deliciously breakfast spread.
If you are looking for a stylish dinner venue, there are complimentary taxis to whisk you the short drive to their sister dog-friendly venue The Tavern.

WHY WE LOVE IT....
This stylish hotel is the perfect combination of laid back Scandi style blended with country chic. The Fish offers a unique combination of hotel house, huts and treehouses all set on a hillside with a spectacular view. The perfect location to explore the countryside or relax and put your feet up by the fire with your four legged friend.
There are 8 dog friendly rooms available at the Fish for up to Medium sized dogs. Make sure you check availability with the hotel prior to booking. One dog over the age of one is allowed per room with a charge of £30 per dog per room. This includes the use of a bed, bowls, treats and a doggie towel for cleaning up after walks.
Dogs can relax in the lounge areas and you can dine together in the bar. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. For an extra touch why not try their Doggie Afternoon tea.
The Fish has a dog agility course to provide your pooch with some extra holiday fun.
THE OLD STOCKS INN
WHY WE LOVE IT....
Nestled in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Old Stocks Inn is a recently refurbished 17th-century coaching inn that really stands out from the crowd. This boutique hotel is the perfect combination of modern luxury whilst maintaining the original features. The decor mixes neutrals with splashes of colour, this hotel is a refreshing take on a Cotswold classic.

There are three dog friendly garden rooms and they have the added attraction of their very own private garden terrace. Modern and spacious, they’re perfect for sharing with your canine travel companions! They welcome two small dogs or one large dog per room. There is an extra charge of £10 per dog per night.
Dogs can join you in the bar, garden and library. The hotel have 5 perfect dog walking printable routes available all recommended by resident pooch Ralph.
THE KINGS HEAD

WHY WE LOVE IT....
Located in the charming town of Cirencester, this stylish boutique hotel is a great choice for a weekend getaway with your dog. The old stone walls, wooden beams and Roman mosaic all blend seamlessly with its elegant country cool decor. Why not take a visit to the unique subterranean Spa and relax after a long day.

41 of the 45 rooms are dog friendly, there is an additional fee of £20 per dog per night. Whilst dogs are not allowed in the the restaurant there is a large lounge bar area that you can and and enjoy an meal with your canine companion. Water bowls are provided but you will need to bring your dogs bed with you.
THE WHEATSHEAF INN
WHY WE LOVE IT....
The Wheatsheaf Inn is modern yet traditional British inn. What used to be a 17th-century Coaching Inn is now an exceptional example of the old and new stylishly combined. With 14 individually designed bedrooms, roaring fires in winter, heavenly gardens in summer and delicious pub food all year round, the Wheatsheaf Inn is a excellent choice for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The Inn has 14 rooms with 3 of those that are dog friendly. There is an additional charge of £10 per dog per night with dog beds, bowls and treats provided. Just let the hotel know when booking. The hotel spaces are dog friendly throughout and a pretty courtyard.
MASON ARMS
WHY WE LOVE IT....
The Mason Arms sits proudly on the Village Green in the heart of Meysey Hampton. A stylish pub, dining room, with luxuriously chic bedrooms, it's a place to eat, drink and sleep and you will always receive a warm welcome. The beauty of the Mason Arms is the modern styling blended seamlessly and with respect for the buildings original features. A great choice for a relaxing getaway in the countryside.

There are a limited amount of dog friendly rooms available so be sure to contact Mason Arms to request a dog friendly room. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but you can dine together in the bar.
THE RECTORY HOTEL

The Rectory Hotel has 12 rooms and they are all dog friendly. There are no additional charges for dogs to stay.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but are welcome in the bar. You could also stroll across the road to their Sister venue, the excellent The Potting Shed Pub. Dogs are also allowed to run around the beautifully kept three acres of garden but why not venture to the nearby Cotswold Country Park which has a swimming area for dogs.
THE PAINSWICK
WHY WE LOVE IT....
The Painswick is a wonderful example of a boutique-hotel. The decor is a gorgeous blend of country house and industrial-chic. The atmosphere is relaxed. With wellies to borrow and stacks of local information, why not relax in the comfy sofa's or out on the terrace whilst you to plan yours days out exploring the surrounding Slad Valley.

The Kings Arms is the perfect combination of modern style and rustic charm. This cosy country inn nestled deep within the stunning Cotswold countryside, its the perfect choice for relaxing after a day out exploring with your canine companion.

The rooms at the Kings Arms are dog friendly, there is a £15 charge per dog per room. Make sure you advise them that you are bring your four-legged travelling companion and you will find a comfy bed and doggy treats waiting in the room along with a bottle of Snuffle dog beer.
